Second State Press offers a variety of educational programming. Printmaking classes and workshops are offered to our members – small classes that allow individuals to practice at their appropriate skill level while offering advanced courses to further challenge and enhance our members’ technique. SSP also offers demonstrations and lectures to members by masters in the medium.
Second State Press will offer a variety of classes exploring printmaking techniques. Class size will be limited to no more than 8 students and for every class hour, students will get an additional hour to come back and work at SSP.
Check our class list here.
Creating opportunities for artists to teach new processes or old processes in new ways is as integral to our mission as creating opportunities to learn these processes. With this in mind, we would like to extend an open invitation to submit proposals for classes and workshops that you would like to teach in our facility.
If you’re interested in submitting a course for review by our staff please submit a brief course description (approx. 100 words) along with your CV, and 10 images of your work or a link to your website. Courses will be about 10 hours in length, divided into weekly sessions or weekend sessions.
Please submit your proposals to Zach Lindenberger, firstname.lastname@example.org
We’re eager to see your proposals and are convinced that this kind of exchange will promote the growth of a sustainable printmaking community.
Second State Press believes that internships are a powerful tool for learning. SSP offers several internships that will focus on studio management, educational programming, and administrative duties related to the internal operations of an arts organization.
In addition to gaining valuable experience, interns will receive an hour of access to the printshop during member hours for an hour worked and college credit, if applicable.
If you would like to apply for an internship, please email Second State Press at email@example.com.
