2024 Member Exhibition at West Chester University:
Expanding Methodologies in Print
SSP is please to announce an opportunity for all members of Second State Press to show print-based work in an upcoming exhibition at the John H. Baker Gallery at West Chester University.
We invite our members to submit works that embrace all methods of printmaking and engage explicitly with the expansive practice of printmaking. This show will highlight how members of Second State Press incorporate printmaking into their artistic practices, presenting reproducible works and works that make use of printmaking techniques more broadly in their art practice. Members are asked to submit three work examples via Airtable by January 3rd.
Through our partnership with West Chester University, we have access to an amazing off-site exhibition space full of possibilities. We encourage members to submit multiple works that emphasize the interdisciplinary nature of their art practice and push the boundaries of print media including work that is sculptural, wearable, interactive, large-scale, etc.
Eligibility: Any member of Second State Press whose studio practice utilizes printmaking in some form is welcome to apply. Work submitted must be ready to display, with a hanging system established by the artist.
Applications close: January 3rd
Artists notified of selected work: after Jan 6th
Artwork due to SSP: Jan 18th
Exhibition: Jan 30th - Feb 23rd 2024
