Currently on view at Second State Press is  Matthew Colaizzo’s incredible woodcuts. These carefully crafted depictions of an austere northeastern Pennsylvania document the industrial impact on our regional landscape.

Join us for the opening reception on April 12 from 6-9PM  and the closing reception on May 10th from 6-9PM.   Matthew’s work will remain on SSP’s walls through the end of May.

 

Spring Classes at Second State Press

Spring is the perfect time to freshen up your printmaking skills or try something new!  This spring you can get down and Dirty with screen printing, try chine collé on Cinco De Mayo, carve some woodcuts, or take a crash course in lithography.  The early bird gets the worm- sign up now because space is limited!

The Annual Cindi Royce Ettinger Scholarship Deadline is May 8th.  Apply today!

The Cindi Royce Ettinger Scholarship is an opportunity for emerging artists who lacks financial resources to gain access to professional and supportive printmkaing studio.  The scholarship grants one artist 24 hour access to Second State Press for the entire month of June, two flat file drawers, and a modest stipend.  Click here to apply!

 

Member Shop Orientations Every Second Thursday

It’s always difficult to start in a new shop and get your printing flow.  Different equipment, new people, and where the heck is the tarleton anyway?!  SSP wants to make it easier for you to get started and get printing.  Every Second Thursday, Second State Press we will hold shop orientations for members.  All are welcome to attend each month.

Join us 6-9 PM to get a tour of the shop, have your printing questions answered, and meet other members.
