Quarter Sheet Challenge Artist: Heather McMordie

Heather McMordie has accepted the Quarter Sheet challenge for this month. Her prints will be up through the first week of July.

Heather McMordie is an artist and printmaker based in Philadelphia. A graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Pennsylvania, Heather’s artistic practice is informed by geological processes and the scientific method. Using collagraphic, lithographic and relief processes, she exploits multi-plate printmaking to create printed puzzles exploring the dynamic morphology of stone. Her work has been included in exhibits at the Morris Arboretum, the Woodmere Art Museum, and the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg, PA. Heather was a Fob Holder and Fob Fellow at Second State Press during 2014 and 2015, is an Artist-in-Residence at the Church Studios, and is currently represented by the Old Print Gallery in Washington, DC.

Each month we will feature a new artist in this on going exhibition series. The one requirement? Prints must be quarter sheet prints (15″ x 11″). Email for more information.
