Workshop Theme- The Artful Table

October 11th
Instructor: Tiernan Alexander
Mealtime aesthetics don’t begin and end with the food we serve.  The broader experience of the meal is influenced by the company we keep and the environment that we choose to eat in.  The Artful Table will begin with an introduction to design and patterns for printed fabric tablecloths, napkins and place mats using motifs from nature, art, and the seasons. Parents and children will design their own prints by cutting out foam figures that will be used to block print place mats or napkins. Participants will learn about printmaking with single or multiple colors and images, as well as how to set permanent colors on fabric. Suitable for
ages 6 and up.

October 11th- Textile relief printing
November 8th- Screen printed posters
December 13th- Stamp printing cards
