Intro to Woodblock Printing

 

The skills of registration, carving a woodblock with relief tools and understanding  how to construct a graphic image with principles of figure and ground. The objective  will be to use a matrix and produce multiple prints from the same block to reveal color  from each layer. We will use non-toxic inks to develop your unique voice in  woodcut. This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to try woodcutting for the first time  and for those who want to further develop their visual language in a new medium. 

All supplies will be provided for this course.
